Since the study unit or a small storage unit is adjusted below the wood futon bunk bed the kid's bedroom gets emptier floor space, which can either be utilized or kept empty so that the bedroom looks bigger. Another very important aspect is that the kid’s bedroom will look much more organized.

Glad to see you're using your head. I feel, even as an Occupy supporter, that far too many people there are more concerned with rhetoric and media hype than they are with actually changing their own lives. Start at a local level and control your own finances, and eventually we can start working at a global level to change legislations.

So sorry to hear that you got fucked over. I haven't been fucked over yet but I have no doubt it'll happen someday unless we fight it.

In a metaphysical/artistic/non-physical sense, was it this woman whom we saw come out tonight atop a poorly constructed wooden box? There was an intensity that seemed to be behind every shake of the hips or glide of the fingers that went beyond what was probably expected, as though your time in the spotlight was not about anyone enjoying watching you but about you enjoying being free and above the drooling masses who either openly gawked and leered or were doing their best to maintain some modicum of composure while still watching you out of the corners of their eyes.

Great! Those are the essentials, cooking at home saves me a lot of money or at least allows me to spend more for drinking! Don't forget during the winter months making big pots of soup is good. You can live off it for a few days, add things to it or just freeze the leftovers and then pull it out when you don't feel like cooking :)

hey adam, thanks for reading! and thanks so much for the information. not being familiar with the show definitely affects how i view this ad. but, i think it's fair to say that the ad isn't necessarily aimed at people that already watch the show, and so my response is as one of those people.

Hey, Sara, after reading this entry, I think that your lack of knowledge about the show might have lead you to some invalid conclusions. I'm a big fan of the show, and as you mentioned yourself, you've not seen it which I think has lead you to take some things out of context.
Particularly, the "do bad things" statement. This is a reference to the show's opening theme which has a lyric in its chorus to the same effect ("I wanna do bad things to you."). While it clearly is implying sex, I'm not so sure the song, and by extension, that statement is meant to imply rape in any way.
As for the two men and the woman, I think once again they have been taken a bit out of context. The one in the blue, Bill, is Sookie's (Anna Paquin) vampire boyfriend. On the show, he has a reputation for being a bit too sympathetic and soft as far as vampires go. The other guy, Erik, is also another vampire, somewhat the opposite of Bill in the sense that he's sort of a dick and a bit violent but has many times saved Sookie's life and gone out of his way to ensure her physical well-being. Though he is ruthless and violent, I would find it out of character for him to attempt to rape Sookie. And seeing as Bill and Erik hate each other, I doubt they'd be in on it together.

Now, that takes care of the standpoint of someone who's seen the show. But, I will keep in mind that many people, like yourself may have not. As far as that goes, I can only say that I have not seen the specific ad you referenced where Erik is holding up Sookie's leg. The only one I've really seen (that shows characters) is the one you posted. That being said, it's hard for me to talk about that specific image. However, if it is like the one you posted but just cropped to the two or three of them, I don't really see it as him lifting her leg. His hand's hidden, but I really do believe we are supposed to assume it's resting on the log or at his side.

I'm not discounting misogyny. In fact, thanks to some exposure to Mary Daly, I like to think I'm pretty sensitive to gender messages in media and daily life-- at least more so than you're typical male. In any case, it's hard for me to find anything misogynistic about this ad. Feeding the patriarchy that enslaves us all--male and female alike? Pretty sure. But women hating? Not as much.

It's always interesting to read about people and their difficulties dating in this city of my birth. I hear your pain... there are many times I just want to relax on the sofa, order in, toss in a netflix, and feel someone leaning against my chest who I find both sexy and intellectually challenging, creative, blah, blah. BUT... if you look at the dating world as a buffet, all that snacking could potentially spoil your appetite for the main course, and then you'll miss the filet mignon. And for the record, I'm not saying don't snack.

But that's just me, and I seem to be in the minority on this concept. lol.
